Line by Line

One of a half dozen concepts created for the Friends of the Library Contemporary Vasari Raffle, a part of the fundraising event held at the library on February 10, 2012. The event, Miami Moments: Honoring the Three Graces in the Arts: Helen Kohen, Margarita Cano and Barbara Young, benefitted the library and its Vasari Project. The Friends of the Library sent an original page from the 1832 Italian edition of Vasari’s Lives of the Artists to participating artists. Each artist who received a page created a unique work of art for a raffle. As part of my process, I scanned and printed several copies of the page as a method of developing multiple concepts. Line by Line was not the final work submitted to Friends of the Library for the raffle.
