Three short videos commissioned by Tigertail Productions for it’s 2015 FLA FRA (Florida/France) series of Culture Clicks. These three films are really my first venture into making movies. When Tigertail Director, Mary Luft asked me to do a Culture Click I thought it would be the perfect opportunity I was looking for to use my new Canon EOS 70D combined with iMovie to make a video. I came up with three ideas and sent them to Mary to choose one and instead she replied , “Do them all!” While thinking it might be a lot of work making three movies at once, especially just starting out, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to explore three totally different types of production – essentially a documentary, a play and an animation. The “No Production Values Productions” company name alludes to the ‘let’s see what happens’ nature of these creative movie-making exercises.
The three videos were screened at Miami-Dade County Auditorium On Stage Black Box on April 17th prior to a Tigertail FLA/FRA concert.
After the screening of all three Mary announced that we had just witnessed the first of what was to be an Annual Theatre of the Absurd Film Festival.
